KANGYUR KANGYUR: RELIGIOUS TEXTS OF 110 VOLUMES The KANGYUR and TENGYUR are sets of translations of Buddha’s teachings from Sanskrit into Tibetan.
DEVRI DEVRI: KEROSENE LAMP Devri or wooden vessel is used as a kerosene lamp.

 

MELANG MELANG: CLAY POT is used to hold food grains/ flour
TSHOMKO TSHOMKO : Tshomko or Wooden Vessel used to thresh grains with wooden handle.

 

CHORTEN CHORTEN : Chorten are a monumental stone or mudbrick structure with prayer wheels lining the sides. It stands solidly on a circular base composed of a double lotus blossom design sandwiched between two rings of raised round pearl shapes. The pearls below the blossoms are relatively larger than those in the row above the blossoms. It is an integral part of Sherpa Culture.
